You guys, I am so excited to FINALLY have a bedroom that feels like home!
When we were in our first apartment, we spend most of our time and money focusing on furnishing our living room/kitchen/dining. We looked at our bedroom as last priority because no one really is in there except us, right? So when we moved, we agreed (we meaning me) that more effort would be put into our bedroom. I’m sure you guys can agree that nothing is better than ending the day in a comfy bed. well, our bed was first on the list when it came to revamping our space. The past 4 years we’ve been sleeping on either a college provided mattress or Jamie’s 10+ year old one from home. As we’re getting settled we knew it was time for a new mattress, we went with a Lull bed.
So fast forward to us in the new space, with our new mattress and no bedding. Yes I’m so embarrassed to admit this but we were sleeping without sheets/actually bedding for like a month. You’re probably like girl get you some bedding! We waited because King bedding is expensive and we really didn’t want to settle. Plus I am so picky when it comes to decor or really anything lol.
A month+ of looking and I finally found so many different types of bedding designs from Cstudio Home that I loved! Jamie actually loved them too and he’s a hard one to win over when it comes to decor. We ended up going with the Tropical Floral Organic Percale Duvet cover set (also comes in shower certain form) but it was a hard tie with the Steps Organic Percale Duvet Cover.
I love the design of this set because it’s easy to keep clean, soft as ever, has a modern design, a neutral color (yes to me greenery is neutral.) and is made of organic cotton! Which I’m all about when it comes to bedding and here’s some reasons why..
1. It is a safer choice for people with sensitive skin, since it isn’t processed with harsh chemicals and detergents.
2. Organic cotton is a breathable fabric, as opposed to synthetics that can trap heat and leave you feeling hot and sweaty.
3. Organic Cotton uses less water and is grown without harmful pesticides, which is better for the planet and soil.
4. It is usually stronger and stands up to wear and tear better than conventional bedding, because chemical processing weakens the fiber.
We spend 6-8 hours in our bed every night, so I wanted to make sure that we are sleeping on materials that are good for us and our skin especially! I feel like a lot of people worry about eating organic but no one ever thinks twice about sleeping organic.
Not only did we need all new bedding decor, but we also needed the basics and Cstudio Home is perfect for that too! When it comes to the basics, we chose:
We also needed some decor pillows, duh! That’s why we got the pillow inserts. As soon as I saw the Flying V Embroidered pillow cover with Pom Poms I knew I NEEDED them! Anyone else obsessed with throw pillows? I would have 10 on my bed at a time if I could. I love pattern mixing and I feel like these pillows compliment the tropical print so well! I also love how they’re just a cover incase they get dirty I can easily throw them in the wash.
We’ve been sleeping in our new bedding from Cstudio Home for about 2 weeks now and are so happy with our choice! Not to mention it’s STUNNING and everything was delivered straight to our door, super convenient. Also – for my college babes, right now they have so many help resources on their site when it comes to setting up your college bedding so that it feels just like home! You can read more about the college bedding they offer here.
