How do you prepare?

Shave wherever you normally shave 24 hours before your appointment. The day of, exfoliate the crap out of your skin! Use only your loofa/scrub brush with water, do not use a body scrub. Using a random scrub could effect the results of your tan. If you do want to use a scrub, Angela sells a handcrafted sugar scrub that is amazing and does not effect your tan! It also has essential oils in it so it’s super good for your skin. You can purchase a jar from her website here and make sure you use code Kelclight15 for $5 off!

Remove all of your makeup and deodorant because some deodorants are effected by spray tan solution. You do not want green armpits lol. Show up to the appointment wearing loose clothing, no bra, shoes that don’t hug your feet too tight. Also bring something to put your hair back with. A hair clip, oversized tank dress, no underwear and no bra is usually my style.

What is the Aftercare?

Wait at least 6 hours after your tan to Rinse your body with water. Make sure you do not wash and be sure to pat/air dry. After 24 hours you can shower with soap but still be sure to pat dry. Moisturize daily with a non-scented option if possible.

Now if you really want to see long lasting results, wait 24-48 hours after you get your tan. Whenever I do this, I notice that my tan lasts at least 3-4 more days. Caution: don’t sleep on white sheets if you do this.

How Long does it last and when should I get it?

It really depends on your aftercare! If you do as recommended your spray tan will last 7-10 days. In my experience, the longer I wait for my initial rinse, the longer it lasts. Mine usually will last 8-12 days.

If you’re getting it done for a specific event, I recommend making your appointment 2 days before the event. For example, if your event is on a Friday evening, this is what I would do:

Wednesday evening: Spray Tan

Thursday: Let tan sit all day

Friday: Rinse tan (don’t scrub), Wash armpits/private areas gently (wash hair if needed) and get ready for the event.

How much does it cost? 

Since Angela is mobile, meaning she comes to you, it all depends on where you live! Her prices range from $25-$45. If you tell her I sent you when booking you get $10 off! Also, if you refer a friend/bring a friend you will receive a discount.

Does it hurt?

Um, no.

What do you wear?

Angela tells her clients to undress to their comfort level. The majority of her clients just wear underwear. Ive been tanning with Angela for over a year so she gets the full show hahaha.

Can I go to the gym after

NO!!! HAHAHA. I did this once. Like 5 hours after the tan and uhhhh let’s just say I had to go back to her house for her to Fix me. Don’t workout until after your first rinse and you’ll be good.

Will it stain my clothes

No it won’t stain. If you’re wearing a light color it may get on the clothing but it will come out in the wash. I recommend not wearing a bra until your first rinse because that it the first place it will rub off to.

Does she host parties?

YES! She offers tanning parties for any event. Wedding, proms, birthdays, etc. If the hosts has 3 or more guests tanning, then they get their tan for free.

What type of solution does she use?

Angela uses 2 types of tanning solution, Rossa and Colour Me Bronze. I’ve tried both and I like both for different reasons. Everyone’s skin reacts differently so I ultimately recommend consulting with her. From my experience, I would say that Colour me Bronze didn’t get me as dark as fast but it did last much longer. However, I do feel like it makes my skin dry. With Colour Me Bronze you choose the color you want as with Rossa, the formula is a set color that and is buildable so if you want it darker, she would just do another coat. Rossa adapts to your natural skin pigments.

How do you select a color?

Like I mentioned above, it depends on the solution you choose. Consult with Angela to determine what is right for you.

Is it Organic?

Yes, both of her solutions are organic!

Do you put it on your face? Will it make me breakout?

Yes I spray tan my face and it has never made me break out, so no but every’s skin is different.
