Knocked another place off the bucket list! This past week I went to Palm Springs with 9 of my internet girlfriends and Acme Vacation Rentals! We spent the weekend hanging at some of the cutest places in Palm Springs, creating beautiful content and editing by the pool.
Coming to Palm Springs I had no idea what to expect because I haven’t been to the West Coast since I was a kid. I do really like it here! I will say, it is a more relaxing/slow paced scene so I recommend coming with a large group of friends or family so you can just hang out by the pool, drink, relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
The downtown area has a lot of shops and aesthetically pleasing restaurants that you can head to for drinks or a meal. Everything is flat and the town is surrounded by huge mountains that are so beautiful. I’ve never seen mountains like this, so I was in awe!!
I decided to fly into LAX instead of Palm Springs because it was cheaper however, I feel like the few extra hundred may have been worth it because it is a 2-4 hour drive depending on traffic. I really enjoyed renting a car though and being able to have the freedom to go wherever, whenever. We just rented through Hertz at the airport.
Ya’ll know Kelsie, Karli and I had to stop at In-N-Out right off the plane. I got a double double on a lettuce wrap and animal style fries. YUMMMMM.
We started our first full day with some breakfast and shopping in the down town area of Palm Springs. We went to The Broken Yolk Cafe and it was nothing short of delicious. I had a little bit of everything but I highly recommend the french toast! After breakfast we went to the cutest local store called Destination Palm Springs where you can find the perfect souvenirs. The owners were so sweet and told us that they were inspired to create it because of the boring Palm Spring merchandise that was out there. The town has a mid-century modern vibe and they wanted to portray that through their products. I left with the cutest print of the iconic pink door!
Acme House Co. was so sweet that they brought us in a private chef for dinner that night! We all wore our matching PJs from Bed Head Pajamas and it was so much fun and super needed after a full day of shooting.
The next day we woke up super early to shoot and then hung by the pool to edit, work and relax. Acme House Co. provided us with a catered poolside BBQ lunch from Babe’s Bar-B-Que and it was just what I needed and more.
That evening we had reservations at a Eight4nine. The place is all white with barbie pink accents, very cute! The food was good and the drinks were amazing! I got an espresso martini. For sure recommend this place for a nicer dinner or drink option.
Sunday was a pretty chill day. Kelsi, Karli and I went to brunch at a really cute and yummy place called Cheeky’s. The price was pretty average and the food was great! Also, the employees were so nice. We had to wait an hour for our table but the restaurant is connected to a bar/coffee bar courtyard that kept us busy.
Let’s talk where we stayed.. You guys, these rental houses were stunning and Acme House Co. was amazing to work with! Their placed are themed so fun and would be perfect for a family/friends trip away or even a more relaxed bachelor/bachelorette.
Each house provides you with everything you will need for an amazing stay. not to mention the awesome amenities! We stayed in the The Kirk Douglas House and the other group of girls stayed in the For the Record house. Both were stunning and had swimming pools, fire pits, grills, a hot tub, lounge chairs, the whole nine yards!
Also, I was to point out that the rental company themselves are so sweet and helpful. Who you rent from can really can make or break the vacation experience. They are sure to include a binder in each house that shares different things about each house, what to do around town, etc. I highly recommend Acme House Co. for all Palm Springs vacation needs!
