Hi friends – I’m back at ya with another super easy recipe that also tastes DELICIOUS! Not gonna lie, it’s pretty hard writing this right now without craving these things. Let me introduce you to OREO BALLS! Yup and guess what? There’s less than 4 ingredients, meaning their also affordable to make.
There are so many different types of Oreo balls you can make. The peppermint ones are my favorites for the holidays, but you can use whatever Oreo cookie flavor you want/topping you want. Get creative! I’m allergic to peanuts (so sad, I know) but I’ve also seen these made with peanut butter Oreos, milk chocolate shell and peanut butter cup pieces on top – you really can’t go wrong!
What You’ll need:
1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
36 traditional Oreo cookies (1 package), finely crushed
16 ounces white baking chocolate, melted
Crushed candy canes (you will not need a lot)
Toothpicks (not necessary but they help a ton)
Directions: Soften cream cheese in a bowl in the microwave. Mix in a larger bowl with the Oreo cookie crumbs until blended. The crush Oreos, I used a blender. Shape into 1-inch balls. Freeze 10 minutes. Use a toothpick to pick ball up and dip into melted chocolate. I melted the chocolate in the microwave just be careful that it doesn’t burn. Place chocolate dipped balls in cookie tray with foil or wax paper. Immediately add your topping before the chocolate dries. I chose crushed up candy canes. Add as much or as little as desired. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Eat up!
That’s all, friends! These are seriously one of the easiest desserts to make and such a crowd pleasure! I will say however, that they go very fast so depending on your crowd you may need to double the recipe. As always, if you decide to make them be sure to share it with me! Enjoy!
